K-LIFE OF DENVER, CO
Denver K-Life is currently in its 6th year of operation and is setting the standard for small group ministry in K-Life. They employ 3 full-time staff, Area Director and Women’s Staff, Bryan and Tayler Ratanasin, and Men’s Staff, Bryan Smith. The staff, along with their 45 volunteer leaders, are running 33 different small groups. These groups are discipling over 330 kids in the Denver area.
Recent construction on the K-Life house came at a perfect time, helping to accommodate their biggest year yet. The renovation added approximately 700 square feet to their garage. This isn’t your typical garage though—it is two stories, carpeted, and has all of the state-of-the-art audio and visual technology K-Life could need. It has been a huge blessing to the ministry.
Denver K-Life has also been making the shift from being just a kid ministry to becoming more of a family ministry. They desire to impact kids to the fullest and understand that in order to do so, they must impact the families as well. One of the ways they have been getting parents more involved is by implementing a “Parent Liaison” program into their small groups. Their goal with this program is for each Parent Liaison to help encourage the small group leaders, help manage the group that they are overseeing, and to try to involve all the parents within that small group to be as active as possible.
